Mission & Vision

School Mission:

EPS students will learn to be self-directed learners, effective communicators, organized learners, and socially responsible citizens. They will participate in a high quality, rigorous independent studies curriculum that gives students the opportunity to learn on their own schedule. Students are expected to finish a course within 30 school days.   

School Vision:

  • Here is a safe place academically, physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially where people are celebrated for their differences.
  • Students will be engaged in creativity through a variety of arts, music, electives, clubs, field trips and sports opportunities that are offered.
  • Students take ownership of their education and their contributions to their community.
  • All students and teachers are engaged in rigorous curriculum where students are given the opportunity to think critically and apply what they have learned to real world contexts.
  • All Staff and students exemplify moral and ethical behavior by respecting and supporting each other.

Misión de la escuela:

Los estudiantes de EPS aprenderán a ser aprendices autodirigidos, comunicadores efectivos, aprendices organizados y ciudadanos socialmente responsables. Participarán en un currículo de estudios independientes riguroso y de alta calidad que brinda a los estudiantes la oportunidad de aprender en su propio horario. Se espera que los estudiantes terminen un curso dentro de los 30 días escolares.  

Visión de la escuela:

  • Este es un lugar seguro desde el punto de vista académico, físico, intelectual, emocional y social donde las personas son celebradas por sus diferencias.
  • Los estudiantes participarán en la creatividad a través de una variedad de artes, música, materias optativas, clubes, excursiones y oportunidades deportivas que se ofrecen.
  • Los estudiantes se apropian de su educación y de sus contribuciones a su comunidad.
  • Todos los estudiantes y maestros participan en un currículo riguroso donde los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de pensar críticamente y aplicar lo que han aprendido a contextos del mundo real.
  • Todo el personal y los estudiantes ejemplifican el comportamiento moral y ético al respetarse y apoyarse mutuamente.
